Bathing soap: best bathing soap in Indian

Which soap do you use?  lux, synthol, dove or pears, if yes, you probably never checked your soaps ingredient list.  Most soaps in the market contain so many toxic chemicals that a common man does not know.  Everything from strong detergent to hazardous alcohol to petroleum products to pesticides is added to soap.  The sad thing is that the soap we trust the most contains most dangerous chemicals among them.  For this blog, I thoroughly checked the most popular and latest list of latest launched soaps in 2020 and divided all these soaps into 3 categories.

Category 1-

This category has almost all commercial soaps like Dettol, pears, fiama devils, Park avenue, vivel, lux, lifebuoy and all other brands which are most used in Indian homes.  All these soaps have the most harsh chemicals such as sulphates, parabens, artificial colors, artificial fragrance, whatever you can think of, you will find it in this category of soaps.  Yes, but some have fewer chemicals and some have more but all are toxic, the worst ingredient is fragrance.

I would even say to check the ingredients of your soap, if you find perfume or fragrance written anywhere in it, then stop using it because it is a brand patent on fragrances, so no need to tell them too that how many dangerous chemicals are used in it.  Studies show that an artificial fragrance can contain more than 200 undisclosed chemicals, chemicals that can damage your skin and internal body in the long term, so all the soaps mentioned in this category are worst and you should never use them.

Category 2-

This category contains lever ayush soaps, khadi soap, patanjali lemon neem soaps and biotique soap.  These are the soaps that are marketed as if they are some very natural ayurvedic soaps, but these companies also panic about listing the complete ingredients list of the soap.  Apart from mentioning two or three herbs, almost 90% ingredient is mentioned under a soap base, which the common customer could not get any information about, if they are using really good ingredients then what is the problem in telling them.  Well, even though ayush has hidden maximum ingredients, but it is clear that he has used synthetic colors, do not know where written in Ayurveda about synthetic colors.

Khadi soaps may have placed double the price in the name of natural but it has disappointed in the ingredients.  The same Patanjali's neem lemon soap has harsh alcohols and colors added to it.  Similarly, biotique has given only 6% of the ingredients.  Overall, avoid such soap because you do not know what is put in it and what is not.

Category 3-

The best soaps come in this category such as kaprica coconut oil base soaps, coconess cedar and patchouli soap, neev charcoal soap, speaking tree coffee handmade soap and ancient living luxury handmade soap.  Kaprica's coconut oil base soaps are toxin free and above all, a good budget friendly option, a soap of Kaprica will cost you only ₹ 60.  Charcoal soaps are trending a lot these days obviously because charcoal detoxifies the skin but there are only a few brands that make toxin free charcoal soaps.

Neev is also one of the toxin free charcoal soaps, apart from activated charcoal it has neither SLS, nor parabens nor any synthetic color or fragrance.  So if you really want to give your skin the benefits of activated charcoal, then use neev charcoal soap, not so called charcoal soaps which are dodging you with artificial colors.  This 75 gram soap of Neev will cost you ₹ 100, then ancient living kasturi turmeric soap, Tulsi soap and Multani mitti soap, these are three toxin free options, you can choose any of them according to your skin type and budget.

No synthetic colors, fragrance, preservatives, detergents or animal products were also added to the coffee handmade soap of the speaking tree.  Another good thing about this soap is that this soap is suitable for all skin types and is so soft that it can be applied on the face as well.  You will have ₹ 180 of coffee exfoliating soap of speaking tree.  If you have sensitive skin, meaning if you have skin rashes, burning or itching then coconess cedar and patchouli soap is a good option for you.  This is because cedar and patchouli are two essential oils that are considered best for sensitive skin.

110 grams of coconess cedar and patchouli soap will cost you ₹ 185, if we compare khadi with patchouli soap, which may be cheaper but where khadi has not given a complete ingredient list and has added cosmetic colors, coconess cedar and patchouli soap is 100% natural and safe overall. The products mentioned in this category are best.
