Which face wash do you use?  Himalaya, Patanjali, Clean and clear, Every youth, Garnier or Fair and handsome because if you are using any of these face wash then you do not know how many toxic chemicals are added to them.  Everything from paraben to sulphate, alcohols, cosmetic colors to artificial fragrances, face washes are added.  Some of these chemicals irritate the skin, some penetrate the skin, then some endocrine disruptors and even carcinogens.  Our facial skin is thinner and more sensitive than body skin, so it also requires more care. However, using a toxic face wash does the opposite damage to the skin instead of benefiting it.

In the research of this topic, I was surprised that the face washes which are most popular are also the most toxic.  Yes, I understand that not all chemicals are bad, some chemicals are absolutely safe, some chemicals are neutral but some chemicals are toxic and you should avoid them at all costs.  I have divided all these face washes into 4 categories according to their ingredients.

Category 1-

This category includes face wash by Lakme, Pears Nivea, Ever youth, He, Joy, Fair and handsome which have more than 10 toxic chemicals.  According to me, these face washes are the worst in the Indian market, whatever Harmful Chemicals are, they have been put in all these whether it is parabens, sulphate, alcohol, artificial color or fragrance.  It is very sad that the brands that we trusted the most are hurting our skin the most.  This attitude face wash of Amway may claim to be bright, but seeing its list of harsh chemicals, the color of your face will be blown away.  Friends I will say this much that if you are using any of these face wash, then please change it.

Category 2-

Face wash by Garnier men, Fair and lovely, ponds, clean and clear and X-men in this category are all slightly better than Category 1 but still toxic.  Yes, they may not contain sulfates, but there are many toxic chemicals and also artificial fragrances and cosmetic colors.

Category 3-

Face wash by ayush, biotique Bajaj, VLCC and Patanjali fall into this category, these are the brands that are trying to fool customers with their over smart tactics.  All these face washes show only 10 to 20% ingredients, and the rest of the face wash is hidden in the base or excepients, which a common customer could not get.  If a face wash is made with 100% botanical extracts, then why mention only 10% ingredients?  Well it is so clear that harmful chemicals have been added to all these face washes, yes the preservatives which are added are dangerous like parasol in Bajaj no marks face wash and all these face washes also have synthetic colors and artificial fragrances have been added so stay away from all these so called natural face washes.

So, we have seen more than 15 face washes but none of these face washes are impressive.  Here the question arises as to why so many toxic chemicals are allowed, is there no regularity authority that can check on this thing?  Friends harsh reality is that regulations in cosmetic industry are not very strict, that is why companies make products full of chemicals that are not scrutinized.

Category 4-

Herbal face wash powders, pavitra charcoal face wash, Isha life purely natural face wash, sirona exfoliating face wash and face wash concentrates of rustic art fall into this category.  According to me, face wash powders are the smartest products in the Indian market, because these brands have very intelligently used the most affective herbs for the skin without any liquid filler.  Due to this, not only this product is affective but also very cheap, such as this 100 gram face wash of BSD organic will cost you ₹ 175.  Being made of green moong dal, gram flour, orange and neem, it will not only cleanse your face but will also nourish the skin, all these ayurvedic herbs are so effective for the skin that all other brands only  Marketing on the name itself.

To use, mix a little water in this powder and apply it on the face normally, there are a lot of options available in the market. You can use any one, if you are troubled by skin issues, then try powder face wash once.  Neem and Basil face wash is one of its kind product of rustic art In the Indian market, it is good for the skin and because it is in a concentrated form, it needs to be applied in very small quantities.  It is made from 100% safe high quality Organic Certified ingredient and it is suitable for all skin types, the face wash of rustic art comes focused on 5 variants you can use any.

Sirona's exfoliating face wash is made from active ingredients like mint oil, flaxseed, coconut and beetroot extract.  In comparison to other commercial face washes, this face wash is safe and without preservatives, that is why its expiry date is also only 6 months.  If you have oily skin, you can try this face wash, you will get 125 grams of sirona exfoliating face wash for ₹ 249.  There is no harsh chemicals in the natural face cleanser of Isha life, it is a much better option than those so called herbal pimple removing face washes filled with lemon and turmeric oil.  However, it is worth noting that all the face washes of Isha life are not toxin free, as their sandalwood face wash has artificial colors and perfumes, so I say do not buy the product by seeing its brand, but check the ingredients, you will get this isha life toxin free face wash for ₹ 450.

Pavitra Detox activated charcoal anti acne face wash is also a good option, it is different from the rest of the activated charcoal face washes in the market, which are selling dangerous chemicals in the name of activated charcoal, the benefits of activated charcoal from such face washes would be far away.  Apart from charcoal powder, all the chemicals added to Pavitra face wash are absolutely safe, neither SLS, nor parabens, nor any synthetic color or fragrances is why you can try this if you want to use charcoal face wash.  A 100 ml bottle of Pavitra face wash will cost you ₹ 275.  So guys, all these 5 face washes in this category are absolutely toxin free and you can buy them to your liking and I am very happy to tell that all these face washes are made by Indian brands.

Why do brands make toxic face washes?

There are two reasons for this; The first is money, yes toxic chemicals are very cheap and because a common customer does not know much about them, that is why these companies escape.  The second reason is that it takes more effort to use natural ingredients.
